: Creating an UNSUBSCRIBE link
: Cobber May 15, 2012, 08:11:33 AM
Can any one please advise me how to create an unsubscribe link. I post out regular newsletters to a number of associates and want to give them the option to unsubscribe.
Also can anyone please tell me how to put the desktop icon into the bottom task bar. I had it there and when i downloaded some new software it disappeared.

Can any one please advise me how to create an unsubscribe link. I post out regular newsletters to a number of associates and want to give them the option to unsubscribe.

It depends how you send the emails.  I would just add a line with:

IF YOU WANT TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THE LIST, JUST REPLY WITH "UNSUBSCRIBE" IN THE TITLE.

So, if you have replies with that, you delete them from your list.

Send me a private message if you need more info. I recently used tools to send emails and study the laws of some countries to send a very high amounts of emails. But we do not send that from a personal account. So, I know how it works, the % of opening (normal success), maximum emails by google, how anti-spam tools work, software to send emails, companies and prices to send bulk emails and others. We had to send more than 20,000 in one shot in our case. I was using similar tools as Thaivisa but I doubt these are available to you.

Also can anyone please tell me how to put the desktop icon into the bottom task bar. I had it there and when i downloaded some new software it disappeared.

I presume you are using WINDOWS. Not sure which version.

You might have hidden what is called the LAUNCH BAR. if so, go on the bottom task bar with your cursor. RIGHT CLICK. Choose PROPERTIES. Look at taskbar appeareance if SHOW QUICK LAUNCH is ticked.
Tick it if not.

If it is shown and you do not have your icon there, you must add it. Still, I do not know your windows version but try that. RIGHT CLICK on the START BUTTON. Choose EXPLORE. A window should open. On the left side, you will see a directory tree. The first up should be desktop. Click on it. Go into FILE. Select NEW. Select SHORTCUT. Browse and put in on destop. Write "desktop". Click NEXT.

You icon is now on desktop. Drag it to your QUICK LAUNCH icons in your bottom task bar.
