Walrus Pub

Steve is a very good host at Walrus Pub. That is on Suebsiri road, not far from 2 peace. The exact location is 14.957939, 102.065628 on Google Map. It used to be Sports and Cocktails many years ago.
This is a burger that I had this week. Mix of beef and pork.
Prices are very moderate and it is open for lunch until late at night.

I have to agree. Steve is a great guy and the Walrus is one of my very few favorite places.

The Walrus is quite popular these days. I actually live very close to it. I always see people in the evening. But I rarely stop, as I don't go out often anymore. On top of that, i decided to stop beer since January first. I am still following that resolution but not sure for how long!
Andy bought George and Dragon. I know Andy for about 8 years... British guy. I met him first at Jack's place. That was near Pizza Shop or Passinee if you remember.
Mam and Jin are good hostesses at Check Inn.
Arthur is still at the Ram and I believe his quizz night is quite popular.
And Steve is at Walrus. Korat is changing slowly, but these places seems The most popular right now.
At the moment, the Americans are in town for Cobra exercises. (mostly young Americans in the 20's and to what I was told, must go back at 11:30pm for curfew).
My hat goes to Koratchef. They are making good products and also sell to Thai people.
It's difficult to serve both communities, have a business in Isaan, listen to critics and improve.
Their products are really getting better.
And people like Chez Andy. He is celebrating 15 years in Korat I believe this week.... You can't be bad and stay 15 years in business. I am on my 7th year doing business in Korat.

I'm happy to hear the Walrus is doing good ( I should edit and mention that the food is very good as well as the cold drinks) and congrats on your new years resolution...I guess.
Both the Pizza Shop and Passinee I remember well.
Koratchef has wonderful food. I will order the corned beef by the kilo in a few months.
