Gday
Just wondering if anyone on this forum has been to Khao Yai National Park up near Korat?
https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&ie=UTF-8#hl=en&tbo=d&sclient=psy-ab&q=khao%20yai%20national%20park%20thailand&oq=&gs_l=&pbx=1&fp=d4627b57ea6b812a&bpcl=38897761&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&biw=1366&bih=643
I'm heading there next week with the misses & our young one for a few nights to relax,
but we have no idea on where to stay & don't know anyone who has been?
Were hoping to spend up to 2000 baht a night and hoping to do some nice jungle walks during the day?
Any info very welcome
Thanks

I have been MANY times. Rarely slept there. There are TONS of resorts around the entrance of Khao Yai. If you go on a weekend, there are probably more people than week days.
The Greenery resort has an amusement park behind.
Not far, visit Palio:

I guess it worth staying a night over. Primo Posto is simple, beautiful vineyard but nothing much.
There is CAMPING accommodations on top of Khao Yai. And there is a museum there.
If you have a work permit, bring it and hope to pay Thai fees. Because now, I think it is 400 baht for a foreigner to enter. The main attraction is probably the Haew Narok.

You can book a resort on AGODA, on the right column on each page of this website (not forum, the website). You pay the same price (and agoda has good price) and help the keep this website alive! (because this website is not profitable, more for information, help people, but does not make money by itself with advertising, too low).
On the way to the top, you will see monkeys, probably on the street. Elephants are rarely seen and be careful with wild elephants...

There are plenty of deer on top, and you can approach them very close. (1 or 2 meters).
We used to have 360 degrees pictures of Khao Yai here:

But they might not work on some browsers and I haven't touch them for a while.
