Ferry to Koh Samui from Don Sak

If you are heading to Koh Samui and want to use the ferry, you will probably end up at Don Sak, a place in between Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat. Don Sak is the busiest and closest pier to Samui, but there are others like Ao Ban Don and Tha Thong.

The company that manages these ferries is called “Seatran Discovery” (http://www.seatrandiscovery.com/). The same company operates ferries to Koh Phan Ngan and Koh Tao.


There a ferry every hour leaving Don Sak. Price is 150 baht per person. It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to cross from Don Sak to Koh Samui.



The ferry is very comfortable with air conditioning rooms, you can also have massage during the trip for 300 baht! These boats are huge, about 4 floors and a high capacity of passengers.

Before leaving Don Sak.

Over there, you can take a Songthaow that will take you to Lamai or Chaweang beach for about 60 baht.
