: Excellent lasagna at saveone
: admin September 24, 2010, 06:58:31 PM
There is a guy who was a cook in foreign country, Thai and Foreigner, who makes excellent lasagna and pizza at saveone.

Friends told me before but I just tried last night. The lasagna is about 120 baht and was excellent. Real Italian lasagna, with cheese.

I heard the pizzas are nice too. I posted some info few months ago but now, we have pictures!! That lasagna was nice size, for take away, tasty, VERY nice.

He has one of the last food stand, where you have tables, near the gold shop. I believe he speaks English because he was raised and lived in Europe, to what I understand.

I haven\'t yet tried the lasagna at Saveone yet, but we do have some good lasagna in Dan Kwian as well. Giuliano at the Antique Oven makes and freezes lasagna for take out and also serves a darn good pizza cooked in his wood burning oven. Business has been so slow however this past year that customers should call ahead to make sure he is open as he has taken on other work to support himself. 0828750371

I haven\'t tried in Dan Kwian yet (I mostly stay in center of Korat) but I was at Saveone yesterday and tried the pizza. That place is CHEAP and it was good! Very good!

That\'s the shop, just beside the jewelry. Almost at the end of the food stands, in Saveone market.

And the guy speaks perfect English. He was so busy! There were a line of Thai people waiting. It took 15 minutes for my pizza but he told me before. No problem, cause it was very good. He has also Calzone and others.

That was my small pizza bacon. Normally 89 baht but I asked double cheese for 20 baht more. Excellent.

I have eaten there 2 times. Calzone is good and comes in large or small. Large calzone was too much for me so I had calzone for breakfast the next day. ha ha ha
Pepperoni pizza was ok. Next time I go I will try the lasagna or a different pizza. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Both the owner and his girlfriend speak english. The owner has good connection to quality ingredients.
It\'s worth a try next time you are at Save One Night Market.

At Saveone, the pizza place now opens at 1pm.

But he is closed once per week, normally Wednesday or Thursday.

The place is really good.

Latest news: Very soon, he should start to make Panini and he will also have delivery.

In the next months, he might open a new branch closer to central Korat. He sells more than 150 pizza a day!!!!! I recommend the "four season" and ask "extra cheese".
